Who?
A short introduction ...
1985 marks not only the debut of DUO DOBREV, but the marriage of its two partners, graduates of the conservatory of Sofia, Bulgaria (Ivo (violin) and Kristina (contrabass)). For three years Ivo played with Sofia Philharmonic and during that time Kristina pursued her interest in piano, her second instrument. Subsequent development of these factors has led to the birth of two sons and a career relocation to Belgium where Ivo is presently engaged by “Vlaamse Opera”.
The artistic collaboration of these artists weaves a multi textured tapestry of musical interpretation and style borrowing from folk, salon and classical elements.
